First, Senegal gave Africa it’s first victory at the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 and now their fans have also made Africa proud – by cleaning up after themselves!
Senegal fans who watched their side record a historic victory against Poland at the World Cup found time for a remarkably thoughtful act.
The Spartak Stadium in Moscow played host to the African side’s 2-1 win. Their supporters, who had a damn good time celebrating, also enjoyed clearing up after themselves as well.
After the full-time whistle, a gathering of fans clubbed together and lead a mass clean-up, making life a whole lot easier for the stadium’s staff and other spectators.
Their gesture has gone viral, with millions viewing the footage.

Armed with plastic bags and a strong sense of decency, the considerate bunch showed the rest of the football-viewing world what real class looks like.
It just makes you super proud to be African right now. We were already embarrassed by how none of the African teams had played well or given us a victory – until Senegal with an African manager came along and did us all proud.
This is how Twitter reacted…
Class act from them
